There are a number of IRC channels relating to genealogy. This mailing list covers mainly those on NewNet but other Networks are welcome to use it as a general Genealogy-IRC list. The main purposes of this list are to enable a genealogist to communicate and set times for live discussions on IRC with other genealogists, post problems or ask questions relating to genealogy and IRC, and anounce new channels or topics of channels in genealogy and IRC.
