Rites Friday for Don Ash

 

Don Ash, 207 South Caldwell St., died Tuesday while at work at L. T. York.

 

Funeral mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Brookfield, with Father Tom Duggan officiating. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery.  A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hill Funeral Home.

 

Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

 

Donald Wallace, son of Louis and Rose (Farland) Ash, was born July 3, 1923 in West Warwick, R. I.

 

On October 22, 1949 he married Dorothy Lake.

 

Mr. Ash is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Tina Ash, Brookfield; one daughter Mrs. Mike (Patricia) Ladewig, Zion, Ill., eight grandchildren; his mother of Brookfield; on sister, Mrs. Doris Korybyski, Waukegan, Ill.; one aunt, Mrs. Bertha Swihart, Chillicothe; two uncles, Robert Ash and Vernon Ash, Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Mr. Ash was preceded in death by his father.

 

He was a member of the Catholic Church, and an Army veteran of World War II and Korea.
