ALBERT N. PARKER DEAD

WAS ONE OF BROOKFIELD'S PROMINENT BUSINESS MEN.

Passed Away Wednesday After Months of Suffering-Held Many Positions of Trust Which Act as Monuments to His Character.

Albert N. Parker, who has been sick for some months past and who has suffered greatly during that time, passed away last Wednesday at the age of 42 years, 8 months and 15 days.  Mr. Parker has been engaged in business in Brookfield during the past fifteen years and by his ability, energy and close attention to business has long since taken position as one of the leading business men of this city.  He was a prominent member of the Merchants' Association and no man's councils in that body were more valuable or received more attention than those of A. N. Parker.  He served as chairman of the Republican city committee from April, 1902, to April, 1904, and although too busy a man to devote much time to politics, and never a bitter partisan, he did good work in that position and showed decidedly good traits as a leader.  The funeral took place from the residence Friday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. H. Merriman, rector of the Grace Episcopal church, and Rev. J. W. Kimbrell, of the M. E. church, south.  The services at the grave were conducted by the local lodge of the Woodmen of the World, of which Mr. Parker was a member.  The Merchants' Association attended in a body and all business houses were closed.  Mrs. Parker and children have the heartfelt sympathy of many Brookfield friends in this, their great loss.
