Surname: ODEN
Submitter: Debbie Craig jdcraig81662@juno.com
Date: Apr 1, 2005
I am researching an Oden family that lived in Blythedale, Harrison County, around 1900. A child (my relative) Manley ODEN was born in Blythedale in April 1900, according to my other records. I am trying to verify where the family lived, other family members, and possibly a way to verify this birth - church record maybe? I looked but did not find a 1900 census listing for them.

Surname: PRENTISS
Date: Nov 23, 2005
I'm working on a biography of General Benjamin M. PRENTISS of Civil War fame. If anyone has information about him or his descendants, please help by contributing to the story of the "Lion of Shiloh." Of particular interest, is what happened to his descendants. I have material for Harrison "Tip" PRENTISS and another son Guy Champlain PRENTISS but am looking for information on the others.
Benjamin Maberry PRENTISS came to Harrison County in 1881 and lived in Bethany until his death in 1901.
