I am seeking information on the HOPKINS family who lived in or around Eagleville, MO in the 1800s. They arrived in Harrison County sometime between 1850-1860 from Jennings Co., IN and remained in and around the Eagleville area until the 1900s, possibly some are still there. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Surname: JOHNSON, CAMPBELL
Submitter: Lena (Grabill) Mueterthies lenajanem@yahoo.com
Date: Nov 17, 2006

My gg grandfather was James JOHNSON b. July 20, 1846 in Daviess Co., raised his family in Harrison Co. and died in 1922 in Hatfield Harrison Co. On his death cert. he listed his parents as Bluford JOHNSON and Sophronia CAMPBELL. There is a marriage record listed for Daviess Co. for a Buford JOHNSON and Cynthia CAMPBELL. I can understand how someone would mistake Buford for Bluford, but I don't see how his mother's name could be listed as Sophronia if it was Cynthia. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me on this family!

Surname: LONG, HEFNER, HUNT, DRURY, MYERS, EATON
Submitter: Margaret E. (Long) Kropf mkropf@cox.net
Date: May 12, 2006

Leander LaFayette LONG, son of Joseph LONG and Nancy (HUNT) LONG, married Virginia HEFNER in 1860. Does anyone know which family of LONGS he belongs to? Leander and Virginia are buried in Miriam Cemetery, in Bethany. Their children were Frederick O. LONG who married Sarah Bell DRURY, Etta LONG who married Warren Dudley MYERS, & Eva LONG who married U.S. Grant "Leeds" EATON.

I guess the real question is who does Joseph LONG go back to? I have two LONG lines and he does not seem to fit into either of them. Help, please.

Thank you. Margaret

Date: May 15, 2006

My Great Great Grandfather, Samuel Francis ROBINS (son of George and Elizabeth ROBBINS) married Levina Jane FISH (daughter of John H. and Eliza FISH). I am looking for Eliza's maiden name and any information on her family and John FISH'S family as well as his mother's maiden name (perhaps an ALLEN?) and any other family information. I see they were lifetime Harrison county residents (although Samuel and Levina settled eventually in Nebraska). I would love to have any family history etc. possible as I have seemed to hit a dead end. Thanks!

Surname: SMITH, MOORE
Submitter: Lena Grabill Mueterthies lenajanem@hotmail.com
Date: Mar 12, 2006

I am looking for information on my great grandmother Viola Smith. She married Leonard Moore. They had three children together (I believe), Clara, John and Lena Lucille (my grandmother). I think Viola Smith Moore died around 1908 or 1909 or thereabouts.

Viola Smith Moore is buried in Harrison County and I believe all the children were born in Harrison County. Lena Lucille Moore married Archie Grabill whose family I know have been in Harrison County at least since the early 1800's.
