I am looking for more info on the following family members: Martha Louella SALMON b 4 Nov 1871 in Harrison Co, Missouri; married Cyrus Henrick FRANCIS. Martha's parents believed to be Jacob SALMON b 1833 and Mary Ann DANIEL. My notes only states that Martha was the 6th child of Jacob and Mary Ann SALMON. Martha and Cyrus had a daughter Hazel FRANCIS born 12 July 1897, d 15 Nov 1982 Pattonsburg, Daviess Co, Missouri, burial at New Hope Cemetery, Harrison Co, Missouri. Hazel married 1]on 16 Aug 1916, divorced in 1938, Charles Everett "Peck" GARDNER son of John Henry GARDNER and Procena Alvina STITT. I am researching the family of John D.HART and his wife Mary Frances BANTA. John was born June 1858 and died in Harrison County in 1944. He was a district county judge from 1917-1926. He farmed about six miles north of Eaglesville, Harrison County. MO. Mary, born in 1859, died in Harrison County in July of 1896. I am searching for information about my great grandfather James A. SEVIER. I believe he was born in Kentucky, but lived in Harrison County Mo. where all his children and grandchildren were born. He had a cemetery lot in Bethany but it was moved due to land development north of Bethany across a river called Big Creek. His second wife's name was Edna FALLIS. Their children were James William, Annie, Joseph, and Charles. Joseph lived in St. Joseph, Mo. and had no children. Charles had two children, Jack and Irene. My grandfather, James William SEVIER 1862-1948 was born in Bethany Mo and was the sheriff there from 1898 till 1902. My father was Martin Joseph SEVIER,1888-1971.

He married Eliza Ware, (born VA, 1820) in IL, July 23, 1846 and moved to Harrison County, MO from DeWitt County, Ill. William Rice BANTA died in 1861 and he is buried in Harrison County. They had at least six children. I am interested in time of Eliza's death and where they are buried and if any ancestors are living in the area. TOOMBS was sister of Leander's father, George W. TOOMBS. I am seeking information on the CUMMINGS family, including burial site. They died in Harrison Co., MO; Samuel in 1907 and Mary in 1921. I would also like to know whether a court order was done adopting Cora HENRY and what may have happened to her parents. Since the courthouse burned down before she was born, are birth certificates available for the 1878 timeframe and where? Were marriage certificates required during the 1897 timeframe and if so where would I be able to locate them in Harrison Co?. TIA

They had at least two children. Izora b. 23 Oct 1874, d. 30 Dec 1952 and married Erastus GRIFFIN. Both are buried in Springer Cemetery.

They had four children: Jake, Dorothy, Nona and my grandfather Cloyd. Cloyd was born in Harrison Co. and married Sylvia O. HUDSON b. in Harrison Co. MO. Sylvia's parents were Hardin C.S. HUDSON and Sarah E. HART. The Hudsons buried at Cat Creek Cemetery are all related to her. My 2nd g-grandfather Franklin GRAHAM died in Harrison Co, MO 22 Dec 1867. He had been a resident of the county for over 10 years. He was born 23 Nov 1816 in Boone Co, MO, md. 7 May 1835 in Jackson Co, MO to Parthena Isabella CRABTREE, daughter of William and Elizabeth (COMBS) CRABTREE. She was the twin sister of Arrena Elizabeth CRABTREE who md. Hugh PATTEN in Jackson Co, MO.
Franklin was the son of William GRAHAM and Mary "Polly" Anna WHITECOTTON. William was born abt 1770 in Dublin, Ireland and came to VA at the age of 16 with two of his brothers, John and George. He was first married in VA, but his first wife is unknown as of 2/99. By her he had two sons, John and Robert, both born in KY. At the end of the War of 1812, William was already in the Missouri Territory, near Columbia. His eldest son John, remained in Boone Co, while William and the rest of the family moved to Ray Co, MO. After his marriage Franklin lived near his father and mother until about 1854, when he moved to a farm in Harrison Co.

James JOHNSON born March 22, 1820 near Lexington KY. Died aft. 1888 in Harrison Co. MO. Married (1) Mahala SPURGEON (2) Elizabeth SPURGEON. Both wives are daughters of Amos SPURGEON and Elizabeth BURRIS. James came to MO. with his father Travers (Traves) JOHNSON in 1840 to Daviess-Harrison Co. Shortly after arriving he married Mahala, who died about 5 years later; also three children died about the some time. James and Mahala were in Butler TWP at the time. After the Civil war James married Elizabeth. At that time, he had 160 acres of land about 3 ½ miles outside of Bethany, Harrison Co. Mo.

Martha, died at age 5.

LUPER: Harvey Augusta LUPER, born in 1878. Lived in Harrison County much of his life. Married Joanna Philena LOTT in 1901 (children: Margaret, Mable Loree, Truman Avery, and Dean); then Bonnie (unknown) in 1926 (children: Maxine, Max Gene, Catherine, Harry Leroy, Albert, James, Cleo, Rosalie, Raymond, Billy, and Edith). The younger children were apparently put up for adoption sometime after his death. I have information on the children from his first marriage, any info on the children from his second would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

In 1900 census, Osmund J. WELTHA had 5 children with him on his farm in the Union Township of Harrison County, MO. Osmund's parents also divorced. His mother married a KNUTSON and Osmund used that name while growing up. Who was his mother?
