I searching for information about the family of A. D. "Doc" ELLIS, b.1877, and married Serena Josephine "Josie" MADDEN, b. 1874. According to the obituary, they had 7 children, 2 of whom died before 1939. The others were Mrs. R. E. SHOPE, of Princeton, NJ; Mrs. Don RODAWIG of Spirit Lake, IA; Mrs. John D WILSEY, III, of Baltimore, MD; W.T. ELLIS of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Gilbert R. ELLIS of Detroit, MI. Am researching family of Andrew and Nancy (WADE) SELSOR (any spelling), who appear in the 1860 Mercer Co. MO census, Andrew age 49 b VA and Nancy 52 KY. At that time only James H. 17 IN and Nancy J. 14 IN were still at home, but from the 1850 Martin Co. IN census, we know other children were Richey A., Mahala, Francis M., George M., Andrew J., and Cave. I think Andrew and Nancy probably died in Mercer Co. Would like to contact any descendants or researchers of this family.

A couple weekends ago I visited Tennessee Cemetery in Mercer County to find the gravesites of Moses and Nancy Jane FOSTER OVERTON and their son Alexander. We found it after several passes and it really is a lovely place. I was concerned, however, to find the marker for Moses and Nancy lying on its side. The base had dropped in one corner and it looked as though the marker had just toppled off. Luckily it isn't broken and the engraving is very clear. Alexander's marker and his wife Lucinda's (DYKES) haven't faired quite as well. His had fallen forward and hers backward and broken. Again, however, they were very readable. I was wondering how one would get those stones reset. I've never dealt with anything like that. There were also other stones similar to these and a large limb had fallen across a section knocking over several. Does anyone know how to get this done or is anyone else interested? If you know whom I should contact or are interested let me know. Also,if any Overtons out there would like pictures of the markers, mine came out pretty well and I'd be glad to email them. I am looking for information on my mother's dad. He wasn't married to my grandmother. His name was Albert Wayne MULVANIA. Information I have says he died in the fall of 1966 in Princeton, MO and his body was donated to research in Kansas City, MO. My mother is still alive and lives in Princeton but she doesn't know much more about her family history than I do. Her dad's brother's name was Russell MULVANIA. My mother's name is Della POLLARD; maiden name is O'BANION.
