I'm seeking information about the family and descendants of my grandfather, Richard Francis GRIFFITH, a farmer who was born October 4, 1875, in Mercer County and wed Myrtle Bell LAWTON, born November 4, 1883, in Mercer County. Francis' parents were William L. GRIFFITH and Sarah Ann HIGGINS, also of Mercer County. Myrtle's parents were Thomas Jefferson LAWTON and Savilla Matilda DE HAVEN (or DE HAFEN).

I just received a box of old photos !!!!!My Grandmother was Essie Nona (Lay )Trotter born in Princeton, Mo, 1899.
Essie's parents - John William Lay and Lucinda M. (Smith)
Essie's mother had two sisters - Hattie Hart - (Hester Ann Smith) & Ettie Wyatt ( Etta Sophia Smith)
I believe some of these photos made the trip to Oklahoma in a covered wagon with the John Lay family and some were mailed from the two sisters to Lucinda and family in OK. I think I have photos of Hattie & Ettie with their children. Perhaps someone has an old photo of my Lay{Smith} family that were sent back to these sisters in Princeton. Let's share!

I'm searching for information about the family of Herb PICKETT 1886-1953 and his wife Maude PORTER 1886-1962. Maude was born in Somerset Twp, Mercer Co. I found these children: Estella b. 1910, Buretta b. 1919 and Wayne 1924. Wayne may have lived in the Princeton area of Mercer Co. Any extra info will be helpful.

Abram STANLEY age 27, b. IA, with wife Theresa, son Roy, listed in 1880 Federal Census, Princeton, Mercer Co., MO. Also, same census, Squire STANLEY, age 30, living alone in Princeton. He may have married Deborah MUNDELL.
Sarah Hillence STANLEY may have married William HOLMES and lived in Princeton or Mill Grove.
Ebin/Eben STANLEY b. 1844, Decatur Co., IA
Emily STANLEY b. 1845, Decatur Co., IA, may be the Emily/Emma STANLEY who m. John Crawford MINTER abt. 1865 and lived in Washington Twp., Mercer Co., MO, migrating to WY abt. 1896.
I believe the above STANLEYSs may be the children of Hiram J. STANLEY m. 27 Feb. 1843, Grundy Co., MO, to Hannah BALLEW. Hiram J. STANLEY age 41, is listed in 1860 Eden Twp., Decatur Co., IA census with wife Hannah age 34, son Eben age16, dau Emily age 14, son Squire age 10, son Abraham age 7, and dau Sarah age 3. There may have been a son named Houston STANLEY who died in infancy, a son Issac d. infancy, and dau.
