I am needing to find information on the John Houston PIGG family. John Houston and Mahala Underwood Pigg were born in Tennessee. My grandfather-Levi Harrison PIGG, was born near Princeton 6 Feb 1889. I understand many of the PIGG family remained in Missouri when the others relocated to Arkansas.

I recently took my 86 year old uncle through what I had found on his ancestry - (POLSTON, WILLIAMS, DUREE, OWENS etc) - back beyond Mercer County to North Carolina - and on and on. He was overwhelmed! But --- He said, "I still don't know where my father is buried!" CAN ANYONE THERE HELP!!
I seek information on William (Willie?) POLSTON -(b. 15 Oct 1872) and married Meda Alice WILLIAMS at Ilia, Mercer Cty on 16th Sept 1901. His parents were Marvel Polston and Elizabeth Duree. William and Meda moved from Mercer Cty to OK and then to MT - with their family of 8 children. They homesteaded in Stillwater County, MT - but something happened abt 1920 and William left his family (some say deserted)and returned to Mercer County. According to my uncle they heard from him once -- and he believes he remained in Mercer County. Can anyone provide me information concerning when he died and where he might be buried?
Many Thanks!!! M. Swan

She was not in the 1900 census. I haven´t been able to locate Julia´s grave. Her children were: John b. abt 1860, Samuel b. abt 1862, Theodore b. abt 1865, Minnie b. abt 1867, Henry, b. abt 1868 and Thomas b. abt. 1871. Julia Ann was the daughter of John and Mary (KETRING) MCLAIN. After many years in PA they moved to Decatur Co., IA in 1854. Several of John´s children settled in Cainsville. Samuel MCLAIN married Mary Ann LEACHMAN and half of Cainsville population is derived from them. Mary Jane MCLAIN married James YODER. Elizabeth MCLAIN married John BOWER. George W MCLAIN may haved lived there but not certain. Any information on any of the above is appreciated.
