I am researching the family of William J. Boyle of Medicine Township. He and his wife, Nancy J. Hamilton had several children and I have been able to account for all of them with the exception of Theora who was born in 1878. She appears in the 1880 census. She would have turned 22 by the time of the 1900 census and was presumably married and no longer in the home. She also is not in the cemetery at Topsy. No marriage license or death certificate has turned up. Her name might have actually been Thaana if you take the "r" for an "n" and may have gone by the nickname Tennie. Her father died in 1898 and by 1910 her mother and family had moved to Trenton. Does anyone know anything of her? Thank You.

I am looking for any info I can find for John Aaron Franklin and wife Mary E. (maiden name unknown). They are listed in the 1880 census in Washington Twsp., Mercer County, Mo. John and both of his parents were born in Ohio. John was born about 1838. Mary E. was born in Mo. about 1839. In the 1880 census it lists Archie and a sister Josephine. Sometime after 1880 John and Archie moved to Ava, Douglas County, Mo. I don't know if Mary and Josephine went with them or not. I didn't know Archie had a sister until I found out from another person. Archie Edward Franklin also known as Edd married Alpha A. Rogers, daughter of Thomas and Eliza Wileman Rogers. Archie and Alpha are my grandparents. Looking for John's line of Franklins, his siblings if any, and if John had other children. What happened to Mary, what was her surname, parents, and so forth? I cherish any help I can get.
Thanks
Leta K.

Surname: PERKINS

I am looking for public records related to my great great grandfather, John Leroy Perkins.
In 1867, John Leroy, age 41, and his family moved to Ravanna, Mercer County, Missouri. This was about a 355 mile trip from Shelby County, Illinois to northern Missouri. In the 1870 US census his occupation is listed as farmer. The household included his wife, Mary Ann, son Charles Willis, age 20; daughter Louisa Elizabeth, age 17; step-son Green Francis Hall, age 21; and step-son Nathan Thomas Hall, age 18.
The 1880 US census lists the family as residents of Princeton, Mercer County, Missouri and indicates a 7 years old granddaughter; Clara B. Hall was also living with them. Clara was the daughter of Green Francis Hall, John Leroy’s step-son. John Leroy’s occupation was listed as wagon maker. They had lived in Missouri for twenty one years when Mary Ann Jones Hall Perkins passed away in December 24, 1886.
After the death of his wife, Mary Ann, in 1886, John Leroy, age 60, returned to Shelby County, Illinois and made his home with his son, Charles Willis Perkins, for about five years.
Thank you in advance for any information that you can provide.
Roger G. Perkins
